Volvo

In cooperation with Lionbridge, we translate and layout the Korean, Chinese and Japanese language versions of Global, Volvo’s internal magazine. Global is published eight times a year. We receive part deliveries of texts over a couple of weeks, and our dedicated translators have time set aside to handle these translations as quickly as possible.

We receive the layout template in English, in Quark Express, and our translators must ensure from the outset that the translated texts do not expand too much, as they may not otherwise fit into the template. In just eight working days we layout three different language versions of the 28-page magazine, including a round of proofreading by the translators to check line breaks etc. New pictures are often added and amendments made, right up to the last moment. In other words, a close cooperation is required between the customer, the translator, and Space 360 in order to ensure that the strict deadlines are met.
